Srinagar, April 2 (KNS): Newly launched J&K Apni party chief Altaf Bukhari is going to call on Prime Minister and Home Minister to convey him resentment and concerns of people of J&K against the Domicile order of GOI.
Sources said Bukhari who is camping in Delhi has decided to call on Prime Minister and Home Minister and inform them about the resentment and anger in the rank and file of the party besides common people of J&K.
A senior leader of the Apni Party told KNS that they feel disillusioned by the Domicile order of GOI.
“During our meeting with Prime Minister and Home Minister, we were assured that land and jobs rights of people of J&K will be secured. We sold the same to people. Now we feel demoralised by the act of GOI.”
Senior JKAP leader Ghulam Hassan Mir confirmed the development to KNS.
” Altaf Bukhari is in Delhi to raise voice against the and express concern against the recently issued Domicile order. This is not in the interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and want to have a relook of the Domicile order,” Mir told KNS.
He added, ” Altaf Bukhari and me discussed and decided it. Since he is in Delhi, he will contact or meet Prime Minister and Home Minister and raise the issue of the Domicile with them. “
Reacting to the Domicile order, Bukhari had demanded that the order be put in abeyance till the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
“It is most unfortunate that such an important order has been issued at a time when the whole country is battling for its survival and is under strict lockdown to stem spread of deadly Coronavirus disease. While JKAP had been vehemently demanding Domicile Rights on land and jobs for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the order issued by the union government reflects a casual exercise carried out at bureaucratic level without taking aspirations and expectations of people into consideration,” Bukhari said.
He demanded that the order be put in abeyance till the country is out of dangers arising out of COVID-19 deadly disease. “This Order in its entirety is a casual attempt, cosmetic in nature, to hoodwink the people of Jammu and Kashmir who genuinely believed that post October 31, 2019 their rights and privileges in the matter of employment and other rights would remain as it had been,” the JKAP president remarked.
Meanwhile IGP Kashmir has been reported in a section of press that action will be taken against those who instigate people against new Domicile order.(KNS)
