KARGIL, FEBRUARY 04, 2021: 6 Days All India Ice Hockey Development Camp, 2021 concluded at Ice Hockey Rink Takmatan Chiktan here on Wednesday.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Shakar Chiktan Kacho Asgar Ali Khan was the chief guest on the occasion while BDC Chairperson Shakar Chiktan Sayeda Banoo and Councilor Chiktan Mohsin Ali were the guest of honor and special guest.
SDM Kacho Asgar Ali Khan appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and said that such camps will benefit the budding Ice Hockey players. He assured all help for such sporting endeavours in future.
BDC Chairperson Shakar Chiktan Sayeda Banoo also appreciated the efforts of the organizers and announced financial assistance of ten thousand rupees to the association.
Councilor Chiktan, Mohsin Ali announced to dedicate 30 pieces of small size ice hockey skates to the players between the age of 5 to 15 and a PAS system.
Aman Ali Khan Acting Secretary of the organizing committee while giving details of the camp thanked the guests for their participation and also expressed gratitude to the District Administration Kargil, Police Department Kargil specially PP Chiktan, BMO Chiktan and villagers of Shakar Chiktan Sub Division for providing home stay for the players during the camp.
The event was organized by Kargil Ice and Snow Sports Club in collaboration with Snow Storm Chiktan, during which volunteer expert and coach Nawang Stobdan from Leh district imparted coaching to the budding Ice Hockey players and taught them different techniques and nuances of Ice Hockey.
75 boys and girls of different age groups participated in the camp who were imparted training in Basic, Advance and Refree coaching.
