Says govt committed to take Kashmir’s art to new heights

Srinagar, Feb 10 (KNO): Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Saturday said that the administration is committed to take Kashmir’s art to new heights and that all the arrangements are in place for the upcoming Khelo India Winter games Edition-4.
Talking to media persons during an art exhibition here, Bidhuri, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that Kashmir is known for its art and handicrafts products and the artisans. “I am happy that the government has recently given the Padma Shri award to Ghulam Nabi Dar for his contribution in the arts. The government has not only appreciated his work but recognized it as well,” he added.
He added that the state award to an artisan and also Padma Shri to Ghulam Nabi Dar is a beginning. “The government is committed to take the art of Kashmir to new heights,” he said.
Moreover, he added that the Khelo India Winter Games are scheduled to be held later this month and all the preparations for the event have been put in place—(KNO)
