Srinagar May 29 CNS : In a shocking incident a son almost left his father half dead by hitting him with a cricket bat repeatedly.

Reports reached CNS that the son along with his mother are allegedly trying to grab the property of the man located at a prime location at Bemina. The incident took place at Bemina where the man lives alone since his children are living with their mother Hamida Matta at Lane G Alamdar Colony Rawalpora which is working (employee)in JK Bank.

Reports said that the man Zahoor Ahmad Bhat was attacked multiple times by his son with the cricket bat and according to locals, it seemed that he did so under the influence of the drugs.

Zahoor sustained injuries in his head, arms and legs. It was only after the intervention of neighbours that Zahoor was saved otherwise he might have been killed.

Immediately, he was shifted to the hospital where the necessary tests were carried out. Zahoor along with his friends and neighbours registered a complaint with the Police Station Batmaloo and urged the police to take necessary action in the case so that such incidents are not repeated.

The complaint mentions that the boy identified as Syed Murtaza has been emboldened due to shielding his mother and both of them want to snatch the property since it is located at a prime location at Bemina.

He said that his son was instigated by his wife to carry out attack on him so as to eliminate him.Zahoor said that he has decided to disassociate from his wife and children adding that he tried his best to save the relationship, but the same is not possible given the hostile nature of his wife.

He appealed the law enforcing agencies to take stern action against the guilty to save his life. (CNS)
