Kupwara, Sep 25 (GNS): Army and police in a joint operation recovered ammunition in Jugtiyal Haihama in Kupwara, official sources said.
They said that the operation was launched after some labourers in Jugtiyal area found some suspicious items lying along the local road. The operation, they said, was jointly launched by 41 RR, 160 TA and police in the area.
Following the assessment the joint team recovered a grenade and five rounds of AK-47 from the location, they further told GNS.
A senior police officer has in the meantime also confirmed to GNS about the recovery of ammunition from the area. (GNS)
