Srinagar, June 15: Senior police officers on Saturday late afternoon visited injured SHO Arshid Ahmad Khan here in SKIMS and enquired about his health condition.
Arshid was shifted to SKIMS today from army’s 92 base hospital Badamibagh where he was admitted on June 13.
Reports reaching GNS said that Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh, Inspector General of Police (IGP) SP Pani, DIG Central Kashmir V.K. Birdi and SSP Srinagar Dr Haseeb Mughal besides other officers of the police department visited SKIMS Soura and enquired the health conditions of the injured officer.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS Dr Farooq Jan confirmed to GNS that the injured cop was admitted to the state’s premier health institute. He said that the officer’s condition remains critical and he is presently put on a ventilator.
Five CRPF troopers including two officers of ASI rank were killed while three others and the SHO Arshid Ahmad Khan were injured after militants carrying out the fidayeen attack on June 13 (Wednesday). One of the militants was later gunned down by the joint team of forces. A teenage girl was also injured during the incident. (GNS)
