Bandipora:-In Bandipora district of north Kashmir, the army had sent about 40 students of different age group for an 13 RR army tour who returned back from the said tour.
An official said that about 40 students of different area of Sumbal area were sent by the 13RR army for a tour of Srinagar JAKLI RC. This visit was conducted taking all precautionary measures in view of ongoing covid-19 situation.
He said the tour was conducted at 0915hrs on 11 Jul 2020 in the presence of other officers and JCOs of 13 RR in Sumbal.
The students were received at JAKLI RC followed by tea party. Visit started with screening of motivational movie on JAKLI Regt at nongrum auditorium, they learnt the discipline and the hardship that a soldier undergoes in drill square and the try area, the students also learnt about the history of JAKLI RC at the hall of fame museum.
A small interaction with Deputy Commodent as well as group photograph session was also conducted at Siachen Lawn. The students appreciated the drills at the Quarter Guard. They paid homage and saluted the martyred soldiers at the war memorial.
Meanwhile, locals and students there were very thankful for the army’s move and said that such steps will be useful to our children in the future. “We are also cooperating well with the local,” they said
