Hajin, 18th June, : The ” Hajin Premier league ” conducted by Army’s 13RR unit of Kumaon in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district concluded on Wednesday after Wonder Boys Sports Hajin team won the final match and lifted the trophy.
In a five day long tournament around eight teams from different villages of the district participated.
After a tough initial competition Wonder Boys Sports Hajin and Sahara Sports Prang managed to get their positions in final.
In a nail biting final match both the teams clashed with each other and gave a good fight to. However,at last Wonder Boys Sports Hajin defeated the Sahara Sports Prang by 21 runs and lift the Hajin premier League trophy.
Man of the match award was awarded to Vikas Rather official Wonder Boys by the chief guest Cdr, HQ 3 Sect RR.Both winning and runner up teams were awarded with cash and trophies by the chief Guest.
On the occasion the senior Army personnel said that the tournament evoked better response from the youth.He said that these kind of activities are a step towards peace promoting and strengthening the bond between Awaam and Jawan.
“The tournament encouraged the spirit of sportsmanship, promoted healthy living and strong bonding with Awaam in this event of relaxation in lockdown conditions” ,he added.
