GANDERBAL, AUGUST 23: The District Election Officer (DEO) Ganderbal, Shyambir Friday conducted a comprehensive review of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities, in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections in the district.
During the meeting, the DEO instructed the officials to reactivate the Booth Awareness Groups (BAGs) that were constituted during the last elections. These groups play a crucial role in voter awareness and education, ensuring maximum participation in the electoral process.
The DEO also emphasized the importance of Election Literacy Clubs in schools and directed the Principals to establish these clubs promptly. These clubs are expected to play a significant role in educating the younger population about the electoral process and encouraging informed voting.
