Directs for immediate repair of CT Scan machine

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 07【KNZ】: Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today paid surprise visit to District Hospital Samba and Trauma Hospital Ghagwal and took stock of the Medicare facilities available in these health institutions.
At District Hospital Samba, the Minister inspected all wards and units and received detailed account of facilities being made available to the patients. He checked attendance register of doctors and para-medics and enquired about the staff strength, availability of medicines, diagnostic equipments, flow of patients and sanitation scenario. He also interacted with the patients, attendants and enquired about the facilities.
He was informed that the CT Scan has developed some fault and rendered non-functional for the past some days, due to which the patients were facing difficulty. Bali issued on-the-spot instructions to the Medical Superintendent to take immediate steps to make the machine functional. He also directed for further improving the facilities and paying focused attention on sanitation part.
Similarly, at Emergency Hospital Ghagwal, the Minister was informed that the Operation Theatre has not been made functional as yet which was an important facility in this vital institution. He passed on necessary instructions to the concerned executing agency to attend to this area on priority and making the OT functional at the earliest.
While interacting with the doctors and para-medics, the Minister urged them to put in best efforts to improve things on grounds and provide best services to the patients.
