Bandipora, Feb 01 (KS) : Police in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district claimed to have seized two vehicles involved in a terrorism case.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the two vehicles, a Maruti Swift with registration number JK15B-0457 and a Maruti Eco with registration number JK15A-1528, were taken into custody under the UA(P) Act, as they were considered “proceeds of terrorism.”
The officer said that the seized vehicles were owned by Javid Iqbal Khan, son of Gulzar Ahmad Khan, residing in Nusoo Bandipora, and Maqsood Ahmad Malik, son of Mohmad Jamal Malik, residing in Chittibandy Aragam.
He further said that this seizure is a major blow to the activities of those involved in terrorism in the region.
Meanwhile, The seizure of these vehicles will assist in further investigations related to the case FIR No.15/2022 U/s of UA(P) & I.A Act of PS Aragam the officer further added. (KS)
