Srinagar, October 27:(GNS) One Lashkar-i-Toiba militant was caught alive during a gunfight while as foreign militant is still at large in Injured condition in Sultanpora forest area of Sheeri Chandoosa in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on thrusday.
Additional Director General of Police Vijay Kumar told GNS that on second day of operation, one local LeT militant identified as Nisar Ahmad Bhat son of Mohd Akbar Bhat resident of Shrakwaea Kreeri was caught alive while as foreign militant Usman Bhai is still at large in Injured condition.
Usman is the same militant who managed to escape from an encounter in which Yousuf Kantroo along with two more militants were killed in Malwah area of Baramulla, the top cop said.
It’s pertinent to mention that yesterday a gunfight broke out between militants and joint party of Police and army in Sultanpura forests. In intial of fire armyman sustained bullet wound, today morning he succumbed to his injury.
Due to dense vegetation, operation was halted for night yesterday, resumed this morning with first light.(GNS)
