Jammu, Sep 18 (PTI) Police foiled a bid to smuggle over 24 kilograms of cannabis to Rajasthan from Kashmir in the garb of ferrying fruits and arrested a truck driver here, officials said on Saturday.
The Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police received a specific input that a truck driven by Mohd Ashraf Wani of Wachi, Shopian, was transporting a large quantity of cannabis, they said.

An ANTF team swung into action and laid a checkpoint near Greater Kailash Chowk in Jammu city and intercepted a truck carrying fruit boxes on Friday night, they said.

During the search of the truck, the team seized over 24 kilograms of cannabis from its cabin, the officials said.
