Ganderbal 07 (KNZ):On the direction of BJP District President Ganderbal Mr Gh Hassan Rather deputed few BJP top district leaders of the party to visit various areas of Ganderbal district to have assessment of the damaged of horticulture sector due to hailstorm.
Hailstorm caused extensive damage wallnut trees,apple,cherry in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.Strong winds uprooted apple trees in many parts of the district.
Later they appraised the issue to Divisional commissioner Kashmir and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal at Sonamarg and requested to him compensate at an earliest
BJP leaders including Vice President Ganderbal Gh Qadir, District President Mahila Morcha Ganderbal Rabia Rasool, Kangan Constituency President Riyaz Ahmad were also present
The hailstorm witnessed in Lar,Waliwar,Gutlibagh,Kangan,Wanghat,Wayil,Nunner,Watlar,Manigam,Wusan,preng and adjoining areas of the Ganderbal district.
The devastating hailstorm has resulted in damage to crops and vegetables.
They requested to Div Com survey the areas where hailstorm damaged.
They also demanded adequate compensation from the government for their losses.KNZ
