Jammu, Aug 19, KNT: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned to seek votes in the name of infrastructural development and eradication of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir.
This was disclosed by the BJP leader and the former Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta today.
While talking to reporters, Gupta said the party’s agenda prioritizes infrastructure development, peacekeeping, and curbing anti-development forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
Gupta highlighted the BJP’s accomplishments in Jammu and Kashmir, including the eradication of stone pelting, militancy, extremism, separatism, and nepotism. He also emphasized the party’s role in ushering in a new era of industrialization and corporate growth, completing delimitation to ensure fair representation, and driving development across all sectors.
Kavinder Gupta as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust also disclosed that the BJP plans to contest all 90 seats independently, with some reserved for SC/ST candidates. He expressed confidence in the party’s ability to continue its progress and prosperity in the region, seeking the trust and votes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, BJP leader and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said that candidates’ names for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls will be finalized soon. [KNT]
