Srinagar, Mar 11 (GNS): A black bear was captured alive by a Wildlife Department team in Haril Mawer area of north Kashmir’s kupwara district on Saturday morning.
A Wildlife Department official Farooq Ahmad Pir told GNS that on receiving information about the sighting of a black bear along human habitation, a team of experts from Range office Sopore was sent to the area to tranquilize the bear.
“Searches to locate the bear were made and in the meantime a trap laid in the area”, the official said adding the bear was finally captured this morning without causing any injury to anyone.(GNS)
