Hajin, Jan 17: The pharmacist staff members working at Community health centre in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district have not been transferred to any other block of the district which smells rat and raises questions over the transfer policy of health department in Kashmir.
It has been learnt from the reliable sources that some of the pharmacists since their appointment are fully enjoying their work at Hajin community health care without any dedication and interest in their work. They consider themselves as the bosses of CHC Hajin. These members are appointed and supposed to work for the general public but due to the political influence in their favor, their routine work has affected the public in general and block Hajin in particular. They even don’t bother to attend their duties at the proper time which also plays a pivotal role in affecting the overall work of the entire department in block Hajin.
Locals said that the pharmacists holding different posts are ruling the roost from past 10 years. “They act like bosses and never take the profession seriously. A store-keeper, Junior Assistant and a clerk in the Block feel they are the institution in themselves. There is dire need to transfer them,” locals added.
Locals claimed that a couple of transfer orders were issued for these employees but those remained only on papers. “These transfer orders were stopped by Chief Medical Officer himself for the reasons known to them,” they said.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Bilkees said that it is the Director Health Services that has to look into the matter.
Director Health Services Kashmir Kunzees Dolma could not be contacted despite several attempts. (CNS)
