Srinagar, Oct 26 (KS):- Block Medical officer Nowhera Rajouri on Thursday visited PHC Lamberi and found all employees unauthorisedly absent following which he ordered for keeping salaries of employees withheld.
“BMO paid surprise visit in Primary Health Centre Lamberi (24×7) today on 26.10.2023 at 12.58 PM that you all were unauthorized absent from duties and your whereabouts are not known to this office. With the result, undersigned has facing lot of difficulties about management of patient health care services and other activities and you are well aware that government provides extra 2 days salary to non-gazetted staffs of Health & Medical Education Department who performs additional duties on Sunday and Holidays in various Health & Medical Institutions, recently Director Health Services Jammu has issued Order vide No. DHSJ/Legal/5922-27 Dated 04.08.2022 has clear that performing their duties on holidays as per roster duties with certification of the DDO that roster has been prepared. Unfortunately, it is disheartening to say that you have not performing legitimate duties on Sunday and Gazetted Holidays, it is clear that all health institution shall remain operation for half a day, from 10.00 AM to 02.00 PM, on holidays, but this is not being done; and higher authorities are continuously issued necessary directions to implement Target Deliverable Services for next 10 days which have already been started from 25.10.2023 under Ayushman Bhava Campaign (Ayushman Bharat Cards Distribution, ABHA ID, Vaccination, Junk free Hospitals, Cleanliness, Anaemia Mukt, TB Mukt, NCD Screening, Dental Checkup, Eye Screening, Screening of School Children, awareness about flagship programmes/schemes etc.), but you have failed to comply the orders of higher authorities as well as this office.” Reads the notice issued by BMO, a copy of which lies with News Agency Kashmir Scroll.
“Now, in view of the above, you are hereby directed to explain your position as why disciplinary action shall not be taken against you under Employees +Classification, Control and Appeal Rules) and furnish your reply of explanation to this office within two days positively without any fail. Meanwhile, the salary for the month of October, 2023 shall be kept withheld and Two & Half Day Salary shall be deducted and deposited in the Government Treasury and also proper entry in service book,” it reads futher.
