Ganderbal: The body of a 17-year-old boy who drowned in a power canal in the Haknar Fraw area of Ganderbal was recovered on friday after an extensive search operation.

The deceased has been identified as junaid Ahmad Khan, son of Abdul Wahid, a resident of Fraw Haknar Gund.

Following the tragic incident, teams from the Police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) launched an intensive rescue operation.

Officials confirmed to Kashmir News Zone (KNZ) that after hours of relentless efforts, the body was retrieved and later handed over to the family after legal formalities.
