Srinagar, July 29 (GNS): Police on Monday recovered body of an unidentified male from a UEED drain near SMHS Hospital Srinagar. Aged around 28-years, the police recovered two identity cards from the body, one with Muslim identity and other a Hindu.
A police officer while confirming it told GNS that police has registered a case and investigations are underway about it. “We are trying to ascertain his identity,” the officer said.
Asked about the recovery of two identity cards, he said, “It is also part of the investigation.” With almost identical pictures, the one I-card issued by government of J&K, Indian Union Driving License shows his name as Surinder Singh Son of Hansraj and Adhaar card has name as Imtiyaz Ahmad Kotach son of Abdul Rehman of Parnote area in Doda. The driving license had his address Chaktra Doda. (GNS)
