“The road is not less than a death trap” allege locals

Ganderbal 02 Feb (KNZ): The residents of Bonizil and adjoining areas of Ganderbal district are up in arms against R&B division Ganderbal and demands installation of “crash barriers” alongside of link road in the area.
Residents said that they fail to understand why the concerned department has left the important stretch unattended and added, “despite several requests, their pleas are going unheard”.
Another senior resident of the area said that “during winters they are unable to commute on the stretch of roads due to unavailability of crash barriers.
“Recently, we requested the R&B department for the installation of crash barriers of the stretch but our genuine demands are being ignored, the road is not less than a death trape, especially during the winters.
Residents have appealed DC Ganderbal to look into the matter.
