Uri (Baramulla), Sep 24 (GNS): A Border Roads Organisation truck driver died after falling into a deep gorge in Uri on Friday afternoon.
Official sources told GNS that the incident occurred while the driver with an aim to wash the truck had parked the vehicle near a culvert in Kalsan Chollan area. The driver fell from the hilly spot into a deep gorge, resulting in his instant death.
Identifying the deceased as Syed Javid Hussain (32) son of Syed Khadim Hussain, a resident of Noorkha Uri, they further said that a police team has been rushed to the spot. (GNS)
