Sopore: A girl student committed suicide in Chewdara village of Beerwah in central Kashmir’s Budgam after failing to qualify class 12 exam.
Sources said that an 18-year old girl (name withheld) consumed poison at her home, a day after her result was declared.
She was immediately rushed to SDH Beerwah, from where she was shifted to SKIMS Bemina for advanced medical treatment. However, on reaching the hospital she breathed her last.
Police sources while confirming the death of teenager said, “she died allegedly after consuming some poison, however, we will investigate the case”
