Budgam, Sep 10 (KNO): Three days after the exchange of fire took place in Budgam district, Marine commandos on Thursday recovered arms and ammunition from Sukhnag Nallah in central Kashmir district where search operation is going on from the last four days.
Officials told the news—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that marine commandos recovered arms and ammunition from Sukhnag Nallah at Kawoosa area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on the 4th day.
Meanwhile, the search operation was going on to find out whether any militant had drowned in the Nallah.
Earlier, a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Kawoosa area of Narbal on Monday afternoon based on a specific input about the presence of militants in the area.
“As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter,” the official said.
Meanwhile, security officials said that boats were pressed into service to trace out whether any militant had drowned in the nearby stream during the initial shootout—(KNO)
