BUDGAM, April 15:Budgam Police arrested six persons involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals, 06 tippers seized.
Police party of police station Beerwah laid a naka at Narwara Beerwah and intercepted six tippers loaded with minerals, arrested 06 persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of Sand and seized the tippers on spot.The arrested persons have been identified as Firdous Ahmed Bhat son of Mohammad Ramzan Bhat resident of Hardiwal, Mudasir Ahmed Bhat son of Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat resident of Hajigero, Sajad Ahmed Mir son of Sanaullah Mir resident of Hajigero, Abdul Majeed Reshi son of Ghulam Mohammad Reshi resident of Mukaam Waterihail, Bashir Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Aziz Mir resident of Mukam Waterihail and Ghulam Nabi Reshi son of Mohammad Sidiq Reshi resident of Mukam Waterihail.
Registration numbers of Seized tippers are JK13B 3477 JK04F 1593, JK04F, 2019, JK04A 9569, JK01R, 5192, & JK04,8263.
In this regard, Case FIR number 39/2022, under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation set into motion.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
