Srinagar, September 20:The closing ceremony of District Mega Sports Festival Budgam was held, in which Hon’ble Minister for agriculture Shri Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura was the chief guest.
Four finals of different sports events including Kabbadi, Football, cricket and tug of war, were played on the closing ceremony of the festival at two different venues viz DPL Budgam and Sports Stadium Budgam.
The final match of Kabaddi was played between Aarth Kabaddi Club and Wathura Kabbadi Club, in which Wathura Kabbadi Club emerged as winner by 50:31 points. The final match of football was played between Gungbugh FC and Spring Buds FC Ompora. Gungbugh FC defeated Spring Buds FC Ompora by 5-0.
In the final match of cricket Rising Star CC Mirgund defeated Choon CC Budgam by 06 wickets while the tug of war was played between Wudwan Club and Spring Buds Ompora Budgam which was won by Wudwan Club.
Among others, Dy. Commissioner Budgam Shri Mohammad Harun Malik, CO 178 CRPF Shri Anil Kumar and Shri D.S.Grewal CO 181 CRPF, SSP Budgam Shri Tejinder Singh, Addl. SP Budgam Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure, DySP DAR Budgam Mir Rasiq were present on the occasion, besides, a large number of respectable citizens and youth of the district witnessed the closing ceremony and appreciated the efforts of J&K Police for providing stage to the youth of the area to prove their mettle in the various sports events.
