Kargil, Jan 16: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akoon today visited District Hospital Kargil to inspect health facilities for patients.
The CEC was informed that the main work of installation 128-slice CT Scan machine has been completed while the remaining work is under execution.
CEC Dr Jaffer directed Chief Medical Officer, Kargil to keep the CT Scan machine ready for the inauguration by the Hon’ble LG Ladakh Brig (Dr) BD Mishra.
The CEC was informed that the application engineers will be called from the company for the remaining work. He was also informed that the Intensive Care Unit and Modular Operation Theatre are ready to provide services for patients.
The CEC directed the officials of the Health Department to prepare a detailed proposal along with justifications for the extension of the present hospital bed strength to 300 beds and accordingly, the staff strength will be increased. He also interacted with patients and inquired about the healthcare facilities available in the hospital.
