BANDIPORA, MAY 03: The Department of Education on Friday organised an interaction with student representatives of several schools of Bandipora district.
Chief Education Officer Bandipora Dr Javed Iqbal chaired the interaction program while Deputy Chief Education Officer Bandipora Rafiq Ahmad Parray and heads of various education institutions besides School Secretaries and School Joint Secretaries were present on the occasion.
The interactive session was held to promote the active participation of students in day- to- day affairs of the Schools and take cognizance of their problems and grievances besides imbibing in students the leadership qualities.
During the interaction class representatives from different schools discussed issues and problems confronted by them for which they sought the intervention of the higher authorities.
While encouraging the students to actively participate in the school curricular and extra-curricular activities, CEO Bandipora informed the students that these interactions are desired by the Director School Education to get necessary feedback from the students so as to make the teaching-learning process more student-friendly and listen to the grievances of the students.
On the occasion motivational lectures were delivered by several teachers focusing on imbibing leadership qualities and active listening among the students.
Students from different schools also presented cultural programs on the occasion who were awarded a token prize of Rs 7500 each.
