Ganderbal, March 25, 2025: In accordance with the plan of action/calendar of activities for the month of March, 2025, issued by J&K Legal Services Authority, Mr. Abdul Nasir, Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, visited the Subsidiary Jail, Dignibal, Ganderbal.
The purpose of the visit was to inspect the condition of the prison building, cleanliness, and facilities available to inmates. chairman DLSA Ganderbal, reviewed the condition of barracks, toilets, bathing areas, kitchen, and store/godown, as well as the segregation of inmates.
He also assessed the basic facilities available in the prison, including the quality and quantity of food provided, the RO plant/filter system for potable drinking water, library and newspaper facilities, phone services, ambulance and medical facilities.

Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, Mr. Abdul Nasir, was received by Mr. Gurmukh Singh, Incharge of Subsidiary Jail Ganderbal, upon his arrival.
The Chairman’s inspection covered various aspects of prison life, including Living Conditions, quality of Food and Nutrition, Access to Legal Representation, cleanliness and Hygiene.
