SRINAGAR 18 AUG 【KNZ】:Clashes erupted between youth and forces outside Jamia Masjid area of Nowhatta in Srinagar after congregational Friday prayers.
Sources said that police and paramilitary forces personnel were heavily deployed outside the Masjid in strength.
They said that soon after the Friday prayers were over, people assembled outside the Masjid and started protesting against the scrapping of article 35-A and recent killings.
Police stopped the protesters, triggering clashes. Police used teargas shells to disperse the protesting youth, they said.
