Student Special by Ehsaan Yousf

The secretary school education department Farooq Ahmad Shah Saturday said the results of class 10th and 12th class annual Board of School Education (BOSE) examination will be declared by the end of this month.

He made this announcement while speaking at the inaugural function of Chief Minister’s (CM’s) super 50 coaching programme at Hyderpora government school.

“We are committed to declare class 10 and 12 results in shortest possible time so that students can focus on their further studies. The results for class 10th and 12th will be declared by BOSE by the end of this December month,” he said.

He, however, stated that strict action will be taken against the poorly performing teachers in schools.

“Strict action will be taken against teachers who will fail to produce good results in class 10 and 12th. Department has already decided to suspend teachers and headmaster of a school in Ganderbal district where students failed to qualify class 8th exams,” Shah said.

He said around 677 students were barred from appearing in class 10 and 12th annual BOSE exams this year. “These students failed to secure above 66 percent attendance in their schools which was mandatory for them to be eligible for appearing in their exams,” he said.
