19 students secured 100 percent marks, 24 with 499 and 44 with 498

Srinagar, Feb 16 : The Board of School Education (BOSE) on Wednesday declared annual regular results of 10th standard with an overall pass percentage of 78.43 percent.

The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has leant that the girl students yet again have outshined boys in the exams.

According to BOSE, the total pass percentage includes 78.14 percent in boys and 78.74 percent among girl students.

BOSE said that a total of 72,684 candidates were enrolled for the exams in which 57,007 successfully qualified it while 15,638 candidates failed to qualify the 10th class examination.

Stating the overall performance of the candidates, BOSE said that of total candidates appeared in the examination, 8139 registered Grade-A1 followed by 11,077 candidates with Grade-A2, 12,429 students recorded Grade-B1, 13,079 with Grade-B2, 10,131 got Grade-C1, 2137 students recorded Grade-C2 and 17 students have registered Grade-D.

It also said that in the exams, dispute eligibility was found in one student enrolled for the exams, two students were caught with unfair means, five students were disqualified for one year, examination was cancelled of 30 students and subject was cancelled of 118 students.

According to the BOSE figures, at least 19 students who had appeared for the exams have secured 100 percent marks each followed by 24 students with 99 percent marks and 44 students had qualified the exams with 498 marks each—(KNO)
