Ganderbal (Zojila) 21 Oct (KNZ) : A Truck conductor was killed and its driver got seriously injured, when the truck they were travelling in, skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge at Zojila pass on Srinagar-leh highway on Wednesday morning officials said.
Official said that the accident took place near Bajri Nallah Zojilla Pass on Srinagar-leh highway when truck bearing registration number JK03B-4773 on it’s way to Srinagar from Kargil rolled down about 500 feet resulting into on spot death of its conductor identified as Waheed Ahamd Khan a resident of Kalmullah Ganderbal
Official said Rescue operation was immediately launched, by JK Police and adding the driver identified as Mohammad Saleem Reshi son of Mohd Yousuf Reshi a resident of Khalmulla Ganderbal were rescued in injured condition.
They said injured driver was rushed to PHC Sonamarg where from doctors referred him to SKIMS soura for advanced treatment.KNZ
