Ganderbal 20 January :Congress Leader Sahil Farooq Ahmad condoled the demise of senior political leader of Ganderbal , Haji Sheikh Mohd.Yousuf who passed away in SKIMS today after brief illness.
While paying tributes to deceased Political leader, the congress leader said that late Haji will be remembered for the contribution.
Sahil Farooq In his condolence message, expressed solidarity with Senior Journalist Sheikh Nazir ,Sheikh Anees and with the bereaved family in their hour of grief and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Sahil Farooq said that Haji Sheikh Mohd.Yousuf was a selfless and forward looking person always at the beck and call of poor and downtrodden people of his area.
“In his loss a void has been created which will haunt the people associated with departed leader,” sahil added.
A man of strong character and conscience, Known as Zojila Hero being worked in Zojila as Labour officer in seventies he lived up to his ideals till his end
He worked as a x labour officer at Tangdar, Gurze, and uri and retired in 1984.
He remained Deputy District President for Ganderbal and was presently block president of Gund Block besides he was Chairman of Public welfare committe tehsil Gund.
Haji Sheikh Mohammad Yousuf was Father in law of senior Journalist Sheikh Nazir working with Greater Kashmir.
Haji was also maternal Grandfather of Kashmir Reader Correspondent for Ganderbal Sheikh Anees.
