Srinagar, Feb 02: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested one of its cop and two others along with contraband substances in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Sources told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a police constable was among the three drug peddlers arrested along with contraband substances in Budgam.
“The seizure included 11 strips of banned drug Spasmoproxivan, 3 lathies of Charas and some heroin substance,” they said.
The contraband substances were recovered from a vehicle bearing registration number DL5CN-1322.
Sources identified the arrested person’s as Constable Arshid Ahmad Dar, Son of Ab. Kabir Dar, resident of Farashgund posted at DPL Budgam, Riyaz Ahmad Mir, Son of Muzaffar Mir, resident of Budgam and Sajad Ah. Bhat, Son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat, resident of Narkara Budgam.
Meanwhile, Police have registered a case under FIR number 21/2021 under sections 8, 21 of NDPS Act in Police Station Budgam and further investigation pertaining to the incident are on. (KDC)
