Says Thermal Drones Will Be Pressed Into Use To Keep Eye To Peoples Movement

Srinagar, March 22 (GNS): Law-enforcement agencies across Kashmir have adopted aerial drones to map people movement as Inspector General of Police urged people to stay indoors on Monday as part of government’s measures to contain the spread of coronavirus.
“We appeal people not to come out tomorrow in view of the lockdown (announced by the government),” Inspector General of Police, Vijay Kumar (IPS) told GNS.
He said police will also be keeping an eye through thermal capability based drones on the movement of people.
Meanwhile, reports said police at several places was making announcement through public address systems mounted on vehicles to ask people to stay indoors on Monday. (GNS)
