August 03: On 1st of August 2018, Court of JMIC Srinagar rejected interim bail of rape accused.The accused namely Mehraj-u-din Ahangar resident of Khonmoh Srinagar was booked under sections 363, 506 of Ranbir Penal Code after the father of the victim had filed a complaint in Police Station Panthachowk.During the course of investigation offence under section 376 RPC was also established against the accused.The court pointed out that “the accused is involved in a heinous crime which does not deserve any bail at this juncture. The court observed that the interimbail granted to the accused vide order dated23.7.2018 is rejected on the ground that offences under section 376 RPC stands added during the course of investigation.“Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, interim bail is rejected at this stage,” the court said.
