GANDERBAL, APRIL 18: To ensure that the destitute, distressed and the migrant labourers stuck in the district do not face any shortage of food material during the ongoing lockdown restrictions amid Corona virus threat, the District administration today distributed second installment of ration kits and Atta bags among the needy across the district.
A fleet of vehicles laid with ration kits and Atta bags were today flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal in presence of ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba form the Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.
As of today 2000 ration kits containing rice, atta, oil, sugar, tea leaves and other essential food items have been distributed among destitute, distressed and migrant labors across the district.
On the occasion the DC informed that the ration will be distributed among those needy people which are identified by the PRI’s, and Tehsildars of all the blocks in order to ensure that the kits reach the deserving beneficiaries and whole process of preparation, packing of the kits and distribution of essential commodities is monitored by the Nodal Officers nominated by the District Administration.
