Covid-19: Police arrest 44 persons for violating Corono Curfew in Budgam;Also 35 vehicles, 12 shops sealed
Srinagar, May 20:(GNS) Police on Thrusday arrested forty four persons, while as seized thirty five vehicles, twelve shops for violating Corona curfew in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
In a statement to GNS, the police said that, acting tough against those violating the Corona Curfew, Budgam Police registered FIR numbers , 91/2021,92/202, 93/2021, 94/2021 at Police Station Khansahib and FIR No.47/2021at Police Station Charar-e-Sharief under relevant sections of law.
The police spokesperson further stated that in Khansahib Budgam, Tehsildar Khansahib along with SHO Khansahib sealed 12 Shops for defying corona curfew. Further, in Khansahib town and waterhail area of Khansahib, Budgam Police arrested 40 persons and seized 35 vehicles for defying corona curfew. Their registration numbers are:- JK04E 0325, JK01AB 9728,JKO4G 4080,JK01U 6271, JK04D 5967, JK04G 8653,JKO1R 5301,JK04F 3439,JK01S 2344,JKO4E 8559,JK01N 3057, JK04A 5953, JK09 7465 JKO4E 7797, JK04C 0655, JK04 7259, JK05A 9678, JKO4E 2411 JK04F 1163, JK02DE 6888, JK04F 2233, JK04F 7192, JKO4E 2596, JK04D 8752, 10 vehicles are without Number Plates
In Charar-e-Sharief Budgam,04 shopkeepers were arrested for defying corona curfew.
Budgam Police requests people to adhere to govt guidelines/orders to contain spread of Covid-19 and not to venture out of their homes unnecessarily during Corona Curfew, reads the statement.(GNS)
