Srinagar, Aug 24 (KNO): Seven more patients, who were tested positive for COVID-19, died on Monday in Kashmir Valley, thus taking the toll of deaths due to Novel Coronavirus to 636 in Jammu and Kashmir.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that seven persons who died today include a 70-year-old woman from Noorpora Tral, a 65-year-old man from Kupwara, a 55-year-old woman from Naid Kadal, a 55-year-old woman from Khanda Budgam, a 70-year-old woman from Kupwara, a 45-year-old man from Pinglena Pulwama and an 87-year-old Chadoora Nagam Budgam.
An official from SMHS said a patient from Noorpora Tral who was admitted on 11 August with bilateral pneumonia, a patient from Naid Kadal Srinagar who was admitted on 19 August, a patient from Khanda Budgam who was admitted on 21 August and a patient from Kupwara who was admitted with bilateral pneumonia on 10 August died at SMHS on Monday.
He added that a 65-year-old man from Kupwara who was brought dead to SMHS was tested positive after death.
An official from CD hospital said that a 45-year-old man from Pinglena Pulwama who was admitted on 19 August died on Monday.
An official from SKIMS Soura said that an 87-year-old man from Chadoora Budgam who was admitted on 15 August died on Monday.
With seven more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 636 including 589 from Kashmir division and 47 from Jammu division—(KNO)
