GANDERBAL, MARCH 18: – The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of the concerned officers to review the preventive measure put in place to avert any kind of eventuality in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak.
The meeting was attended by SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CPO Ganderbal, SDM Kangan, CMO Ganderbal were present on the meeting.
During the meeting threadbare discussions were held regarding implementation of govt. advisories and directions issued for Corona virus. The meeting also discussed functioning of District Control Room, surveillance teams, fumigation progress and sanitation drives at the places of public importance.
While reviewing the functioning of surveillance teams, it was decided that more such teams will be constituted so that the work area is efficiently distributed for more outreach and quality surveillance. District Control room was asked to keep the up to date information ready for disposal whenever needed.
Surveillance teams were asked to keep check on outside labors who are coming from different parts of country and take necessary action, and home quarantine them, if needed. Surveillance teams were directed to share their feedback about their functioning and issues, if any, which can be taken care of.
DDC also discussed the plan for establishment of screening points at Tourist destinations in the district like Sonamarg and Manasbal. While reviewing the fumigation process in the district, the concerned was directed to carry a special fumigation drive at public places including hospitals, government offices and other places of public importance across the District.
DDC also impressed upon the officers to be proactive, vigilant and sincerely cooperate with each other to tackle any situation, and no lapse will be tolerated.
