Ganderbal 09 April (KNZ):On the directions of DMO Ganderbal Dr Mohd Saleem,a team of officials from Geology and Mining Department Ganderbal along with police party lar police station today laid crackdown at various locations of lar area and seized three tractors for illegal mining.
Reports said during the exercise, three tractors involved in illegal mining were seized. After seizure by the department, the vehicles were kept in police custody till the realisation of penalty as per the mining rules.
The teams also checked the enforcement of notified rates of minor minerals and advised consumers to purchase minerals from legal sources only and stay away from illegal miners.KNZ
