Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), including a sub-inspector, were wounded in an ongoing gunfight with the militants in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday.
Reports said that two personnel, identified as sub-inspector Amit Kumar and Constable Avnish, were injured in the gunfight that broke out around 1 am in Redwani area of the district.
Local sources said that sound of huge blasts rattled the area today morning.
Two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
Reports said that two militants were killed in the gunfight, but there was no immediate official confirmation.
