Srinagar, Feb 09 : Cyber Police Kashmir Zone, Srinagar on Wednesday claimed to have recovered missing smartphones worth lakhs of rupees which were handed over to the rightful owners.
As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Cyber Police Kashmir with constant efforts of its dedicated technical teams traced out 73 missing/lost smartphones of various makes and models worth lakhs of rupees.
“These traced out smartphones were accordingly handed over to the rightful owners today at Cyber Police Station Headquarters Srinagar.”
Moreover, an amount of Rs 4.20 lakhs were also saved by the financial desk of the Cyber Police Station Kashmir yesterday, which the victims of cyber frauds had lost in various online scams. Cyber Police Kashmir has a robust mechanism in place to help citizens in facing various technological challenges in their day to day life, the statement said.
Cyber Police Kashmir Zone under the supervision of Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Srinagar are continuously conducting various awareness campaigns and programs through different platforms, wherein general public is made aware about various contemporary online frauds and scams etc.
Cyber Police Kashmir advised general masses not to share the bank details, account details, personal details, OTP etc to anyone.
Meanwhile, the complainants expressed gratitude towards the cyber police for recovering and restoring their lost mobile phones—(KNO)
