GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 09: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) to finalize projects under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme here in the V.C Room of DC Office.

Emphasizing the objectives of the PMJVK scheme, the DC highlighted its goal of addressing socio-economic gaps in minority-concentrated areas by improving community infrastructure, enhancing access to basic amenities, and improving the quality of life.

During the discussion, the DC directed all departments to focus not only on infrastructure projects in key areas such as education, health, skill development, and women-centric initiatives but also on emerging sectors of national importance, including sports, sanitation, solar energy, and drinking water projects.

As part of the deliberations, the committee finalized three projects, including one in the education sector and two under the skill development department. These projects aim to uplift and empower the minority communities by promoting sustainable development in the district.

The DC also instructed the District Social Welfare Officer to ensure the timely uploading of the finalized projects on the Ministry’s portal for approval and implementation.

The meeting was attended by Program Officer Poshan, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Manager Lead Bank, Principal ITI, Executive Engineer R&B, District Social Welfare Officer, and other concerned officers.

The DC reiterated the administration’s commitment to utilizing the PMJVK scheme to bridge developmental gaps and improve living standards in Ganderbal.
