February 03:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today convened a meeting of officers of the Revenue Department to discuss measures for removal of encroachments on State/Kahcharai land and various other revenue matters. The meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, SDM Kangan, all Tehsildars, Rmtech representatives of district, and other revenue functionaries. The meeting discussed issues like Scanning/Modernization of land records, Progress of Jamabandi Dour 2014-18, removal of encroachments of Kahcharie/State Lands, progress in relation to completion of Option form/Account Details/Assets Liabilities/CPIS, disposal of Court cases at Tehsil Levels, Progress of completion of Land Acquisition cases and various other revenue related issues. The DDC directed the concerned that the process of scanning and up-gradation of land records be adhered to as per the time line of 28 Feb, 2020 beyond which no scanning will be entertained. Deputy Commissioner directed the revenue authorities to carry out massive anti-encroachment drives across all the Tehsils of the district to ensure that encroachment on state and kahcharai land is removed forthwith and directed all the Tehsildars to ensure eviction of not less than 25 kanals/month with regard to removal of encroachments in their respective Tehsils. Deputy Commissioner said the retrieved land will be utilized for public purpose and efforts will be made to ensure community involvement for safeguarding of retrieved land. He also stressed upon the officers to speed up the pending progress of Jamabandi in the district and the same shall be completed without any excuse.
