Ganderbal, June 26: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting with the District Manager Common Service Centre (CSC) to review functioning of CSCs in the district.
During the meeting the District Manager briefed the DC about the functioning of CSCs in the district. He also apprised him about the issued being faced by the centres due to lockdown amid COVID-19.
While briefing the DC, District Manager informed him that 55 supervisors and 196 enumerators who collect data at the ground level besides one CSC is active in each panchayat of the district.
The DC urged the District Manger to resume the functioning of all CSCs in the district so that people could register themselves for various welfare schemes like PM-KISSAN, AYUSHMAN BHARAT, PMSYM, PMJDY, etc. and avail benefits and can also apply for domicile certificates as CSCs are the access points for delivery and registration of essential public utility services.
While resuming the services, the DC urged the District Manager to ensure all guidelines and SOPs related to COVID-19 are followed at each Centre of the district in letter and spirit.
Chief Planning Officer Ganderbal, Anika Mushtaq was also present in the meeting.
