GANDERBAL, JANUARY 29: In a proactive move towards enhancing the socio-economic development of artisans and craftsmen in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a meeting of District Level Committee to review the status of PM Vishwakarma scheme here in the V.C Room of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.
During the meeting, the General Manager District Industries Centre, Ganderbal, informed that 329 cases have successfully passed the rigorous 3rd stage verification.
This milestone indicates a positive stride towards the scheme’s intended goals.
The meeting highlighted the imminent commencement of training programs for various trades, with an initial emphasis on carpentry and tailoring.
The DC, urged swift initiation of these training sessions in alignment with the scheme’s guidelines.
Underlining the scheme’s significance, the DC emphasized the need for concerted efforts and heightened awareness among the masses. This collective approach is crucial for maximizing the scheme’s impact on the socio-economic development of local artisans.
The PM Vishwakarma scheme, as outlined by the DC, is poised to directly benefit thousands of artisans and craftsmen in the district. It aims to equip them with essential tools, provide training opportunities, and extend financial support for their overall development.
