GANDERBAL, JUNE 10: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today reviewed the progress of writing of Jamabandies in a meeting of the revenue department.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACR Ganderbal, Tehsildars of the district, Naib-Tehsildars, Girdawars and other officials of the department were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, ACR briefed the DC about the progress of writing of Jamabandies in all villages of the district.
Threadbare discussion was also held on attestation of Shajra Nasb columns of jamabandies, inspection of jamabandies by Tehsildars/Naib-Tehsildars, amaldaraamad of mutations effected in Jamabandies besides digitization of revenue records.
The meeting was informed that writing of Jamabandies of 123 are completed out of 139 villages of the district besides Jamabandies of 13 villages are at different stages of completion.
Taking a strong note about the pendency of jamabandies, the targets were given to the concerned patwaris and directed the ACR for deputing additional staff with the concerned patwaris whose jamabandies are pending.
While reviewing progress on digitization of records, the DC urged that scanning of documents should be given utmost importance and the targets assigned to be completed in a time-bound manner.
Later, he laid emphasis on completing the exercise of writing Jamabandies in the district and exhorted field staff of the revenue department to put in extra efforts so that an error-free Jamabandies are finalized in the stipulated time.
