Ganderbal, May 14: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today inaugurated decontamination tunnel installed at the entry point of Mini secretariat, Ganderbal to ensure employees and visiting persons get sanitized instantly while entering the Mini secretariat premises.
On the occasion the DC was accompanied by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, President Municipal Committee Ganderbal, advocate Altaf Ahmad, EO Municipality, G M lone and other concerned officials.
While speaking on the occasion, DC lauded the efforts of Municipal Committee Ganderbal for its efforts in containing corona virus infection and said that installation of disinfection tunnel here was important which will assure people visiting DC Office are protected from the infection of COVID-19.
He directed the concerned to ensure that each and every person including employees visiting DC office must pass through this decontamination tunnel and get sanitized.
Meanwhile, the DC also kicks off the mist blower toed on tractor which is procured by Municipal Committee Ganderbal for which funds are provided by the district administration under SDRF.
The DC said that mist blower will be used for sanitization in entire district and will help in effective disinfectant spray in urban as well as rural areas of the district.
